Premium Alfalfa Timothy Cubes is a mix of Alfalfa and Timothy Grass combines two of the most popular forages fed to horses in a blend that is moderate to low in protein and sugar. Hay cubes are formed by coarsely grinding Standlee forage and forcing it through a large die with heat and steam. Standlee recommends that cubed forage is not the sole source of forage for horses since feeding some long-stem forage may help eliminate boredom and prevent stall vices
