Material and Construction
The Yoga Dog Dog Mat is constructed from 100% polyester 20 oz. loop carpet, a dense, resilient textile that holds up to repeated use and light moisture exposure. The surface features a loop pile texture that provides grip for bowls placed on top. A black rubber durgan tread backing is bonded to the underside to prevent sliding on smooth floor surfaces. Black trim borders the perimeter, reinforcing the edges and maintaining shape over time. This construction qualifies as moderate duty – suitable for daily feeding use but not intended for heavy outdoor exposure or prolonged wet conditions.
Size, Capacity, and Usage Guidance
Available in an 18 x 24 inch format, this dog feeding mat provides a generous footprint suitable for single or double bowl setups. The size accommodates standard dog bowl configurations for small, medium, and large breeds. It is best used as a stationary mat beneath a feeding station or placed at a doorway for entry-point paw cleaning. It is not designed for travel or portable use.
Functional Use – Feeding Accessory
This mat functions as a feeding station accessory, providing a defined, stable surface beneath dog bowls and feeders. The non-slip backing reduces bowl movement during feeding, helping to contain spills and protect flooring. It can also serve as a functional entryway mat for quick paw wipes after outdoor activity.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Place on a flat, stable surface for best non-slip performance
Inspect periodically for wear, fraying edges, or backing deterioration
Do not use as a chew toy or play surface – intended for floor placement only
Keep away from prolonged standing water to maintain backing integrity
Store flat or rolled in a dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Hand clean with cool or warm water and allow to air dry completely before returning to use. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying unless confirmed safe. Applying a fabric protectant such as Scotchguard or a similar product is recommended to reduce wear and extend the mat’s usable life. Clean regularly to prevent buildup from food debris or moisture.
