Material and Construction
The Happy Hour Dog Mat is constructed from 100% polyester 20 oz. loop carpet with a black trim finish. The underside features a black rubber durgan tread backing engineered for non-slip performance on hard floors and smooth surfaces. The loop carpet surface is moderate duty – designed to withstand regular use in feeding areas and entryways under normal conditions. The decorative print adds visual character without compromising function.
Size, Capacity, and Usage Guidance
Available in an 18×24 inch format, this feeding mat provides adequate coverage for standard single or double dog bowl setups. It is not a bowl or feeder and does not hold food or water directly. Placement under bowls helps contain spills and protects flooring. It can also be used at doorways for a quick paw wipe before your dog enters the home.
Functional Use – Feeding Accessory
This mat functions as a floor-level feeding accessory. It is placed beneath dog bowls to reduce bowl movement during feeding, protect flooring from water and food spills, and add a decorative element to the feeding station. It is not a feeder, bowl, or elevated stand. Best used as a complement to an existing bowl or feeder setup.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Inspect the mat regularly for wear, fraying, or deterioration
Ensure the mat lies flat to prevent tripping hazards during feeding
Do not use if the rubber backing shows signs of cracking or separation
Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve print quality
Store flat in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Hand clean with cool or warm water and allow to air dry completely before returning to use. Do not machine wash or tumble dry unless confirmed safe. Gooten recommends applying Scotchguard or a similar fabric protectant to help reduce wear and extend the life of the mat. Clean regularly to maintain hygiene in the feeding area.
