Description
E.A. Mattes stands as the leader, renowned for its superior quality, density, resilience, and anatomical purpose. Crafted with a seamless design using the highest grade of technical materials available, these pads are simply beyond comparison. A longtime favorite among riders of all disciplines, Mattes remains the go-to choice in stables worldwide.
These Mattes Platinum Dressage Half Pad with Rear Trim fit discreetly under the saddle and can be used directly against the horse’s back or layered over a quilted pad with a matching topline. Mattes SPINEFREE® design ensures no pressure is ever applied to the withers or spine, while the secure SADDLE-FIX® system allows the pad to be anchored comfortably within the gullet. To ensure maximum breathability, the core features two layers: POLY-FLEX® polyester felt to maintain shape and distribute pressure, and soft polyester wadding for cushioning. We intentionally avoid foam, neoprene, and gel to ensure the entire system remains fully breathable.
