Description
The Herm Sprenger® MAX-Control D-Ring Bit looks like a regular D-ring snaffle. In actuality, it is a correction or training bit that locks at a certain angle and thus becomes a straight bar mouth.
This bit lies well in the horse’s mouth when the horse is working properly. When the horse opposes the rider’s hand, the more intensive rigid effect occurs. The design allows direct pressure transmission on the tongue and lower jaw due to the fixed mouthpiece. It unlocks immediately when the contact gets softer. The lateral contact helps horses that tend to fall out while riding or approaching an obstacle. In stainless steel with 16 mm mouth and 8 cm (3 5/32″) rings.
