TheSwivel Port Hinge Training Shank Bit is designed for horses ridden in shank bits that need tongue relief without losing definition in the aids. The rotating port allows the mouthpiece to swivel so the horse can adjust it to a more comfortable position, reducing constant tongue pressure and allowing natural jaw movement. The hinged sides give each side of the mouthpiece more independence, helping separate left–right rein input. The training shank cheek, with its upper purchase and lower shank, creates leverage when the reins are taken, engaging the curb strap and distributing pressure across the mouth, chin groove, and poll for riders who want a ported mouthpiece combined with a structured Western shank setup.
