Description
Forest tortoises eat a little differently from their grassland cousins, and Zoo Med Natural Forest Tortoise Dry Food is formulated with those species in mind. Zoo Med calls this a natural long-stem fiber diet for tortoises, describing the long-stem fibers as an important part of a tortoise’s natural diet. The recipe also includes nutritious dandelion greens, yucca, and other plants that, as Zoo Med puts it, tortoises love. For forest species, it is a thoughtful way to feed in line with their natural diet, offered here in a size that helps keep things fresh for a smaller household or a single tortoise. It is a focused, manageable amount made specifically for forest species, so you are feeding in line with what these tortoises naturally eat rather than reaching for a general diet. Key Benefits for your forest tortoise: Formulated especially for Red Foot, Yellow Foot, and Elongated Tortoises, so it matches the forest tortoises in your care. This 8.5 oz size is a manageable amount that keeps a fresh supply on hand for a single tortoise or smaller appetite. Built around long-stem fibers, which Zoo Med highlights as an important part of a tortoise’s natural diet. Zoo Med says this necessary fiber is not found in any other commercial food, which sets the formula apart. Includes nutritious dandelion greens, the leafy plant matter a forest tortoise would forage for naturally. Adds yucca and other plants that Zoo Med notes tortoises love, keeping each meal varied and interesting. Made in the USA, giving you a clear answer on where your tortoise’s food is produced. A fiber-first base diet shaped for the forest tortoise species Zoo Med names. Simple to fold into a varied, plant-based routine your forest tortoise can rely on. A focused choice for forest species rather than a general tortoise food, so feeding stays on target. Serve it up and give your Red Foot, Yellow Foot, or Elongated tortoise a meal built around its natural, fiber-rich diet. The 8.5 oz size keeps things fresh between feedings, so every serving stays as good as the first and your forest tortoise gets a consistent meal each and every time. Keep it on hand as the fiber-rich base you can build the rest of your Red Foot, Yellow Foot, or Elongated tortoise’s plant-based menu around.
